Hyde Park Village is one of our favorite places to visit in Tampa, Florida. It’s located in the charming and historic neighborhood of Hyde Park and it’s one of the most beautiful areas in Tampa.

There are over 50 retail shops and many dining options including West Elm, Anthropologie, Buddy Brew Coffee, Leafy Luv Affair, and more. It’s a great mix of high-end stores and local businesses.

We especially love coming here because almost every store and restaurant is pet-friendly. I recently bought a house, so I love furniture shopping with Kuma at West Elm or looking for new plant babies at Leafy Luv Affair.

And of course, there’s plenty of clothing stores you can shop at too including Lululemon, Francesa’s, and Madewell.

Hyde Park Village

Hyde Park Village also has some of the best restaurants in Tampa like Bartaco, On Swann, and Meat Market.

To help break down all that Hyde Park Village has to offer, here are some of our favorite stores and more!

FASHION + STYLE

Anthropologie

Anthropologie has a great mix of home goods and clothing. We always find something cute in this store like unique decorations or colorful shoes. We also like coming in here because the staff always showers Kuma with lots of attention.

Francesca’s

This is a little boutique clothing store with lots of great styles and good sales. I found a great pair of sunglasses that I wear all the time for only $14. Kuma always gets lots of attention here as well and they even give her treats.

Some other notable fashion + style stores are:

Canvas Fashion Gallery - They have a great collection of fashion-forward pieces from our favorite brands like Paige Denim, BB Dakota, and ASTR.

Ella Bing - Classic men’s accessories store started in Tampa Bay. Their staple wooden bow ties are handcrafted.

Salt Pines - Founded in Tampa in 2013 and has a variety of apparel, accessories, and gifts that celebrates life on the coast.

Sunni Spencer - A beach lifestyle boutique with travel, home, and fashion products.

And there’s more: Bonobos, J. Mclaughlin, Kendra Scott, Lululemon, Madewell, Mizzen + Main, Social Status, Suitsupply, Vineyard Vines, Zadig & Voltaire

SPECIALTY STORES

West Elm

I’m sure everyone knows of West Elm for its fabulous, modern furniture and decor. I come here often to browse around with Kuma because it’s one of her favorite places too. She especially likes to rub her back on all the different types of rugs. You’d think that the staff would look down upon this, but they are very inviting and laugh about it with us.

We just want everything in this store

Leafy Luv Affair

This is probably my favorite store out of all the shops within Hyde Park Village. The owners are very passionate about plants and really go out of their way to help you find the right plant for your lifestyle. They even email you how to take care of your plants after your purchase. I have bought several plants from them and they are still going strong!

Downtown Dogs

Of course there has to be a store dedicated to dogs since it’s such a dog friendly place. Anytime we visit this store, Kuma always gets a treat from the nice staff behind the counter. There are lots of high-quality toys, clothes, accessories, treats, and healthy foods for your pup here. Kuma’s favorite treat is the doggie ice cream.

Downtown Dogs

Some other notable specialty stores are:

Capital One Café - We recently learned about these bank cafes at Americana at Brand in California and thought it was such a cool concept to combine a cafe and a bank. They have a full-service coffee bar, workspaces, and Ambassadors that answer your questions about Capital One accounts, share updates on Café events or just have a friendly conversation.

Cake Drip - If you love desserts, this is the place for you. It’s a DIY dessert boutique where you can create your own chocolate bars or have fun cake decorating. The colorful ambience is perfect for those Instagram photos too.

Hyde House Public Studio - A curated, gallery-style workspace offering a mix of coworking, private offices and event space.

And there’s more: Allisongs For Tots, Britt Ford Gallery, Color Me Mine, Fig & Julep, Old Northeast Jewelers, Paper Source, Pedego, Pottery Barn, Pottery Barn Kids, Sur la Table, The Candle Pour, The Shade Store, Verizon

BEAUTY + WELLNESS

Bluemercury - Carries high-end beauty products including Clinique, Bobbi Brown and Estee Lauder.

The Cambridge Club - Men can stop in for a quick Cambridge Cut or indulge in the 50-minute Kingsman Shave, which uses straight razors, hot towels, and a facial massage to give the closest shave imaginable.

Soulcycle - A 45-minute indoor cycling class that features high-intensity cardio, muscle-sculpting strength training, and rhythm-based choreography.

And there’s more: ÉLAN Aesthetics, Salon Norrell AVEDA, Sephora

FOOD + DRINK

Bartaco

We have been to Bartaco several times and often take our friends here when they are visiting Tampa. They serve upscale street tacos and specialty cocktails and beer. We especially love their margaritas. Kuma can also join us here on their nicely shaded outdoor seating area.

Bartaco

Cinebistro

If you want to watch a movie in a more private setting along with some upscale food, Cinebistro is perfect. We love the large, comfortable lounge chairs and the food they serve is amazing. Candy still thinks about that delectable cheesecake she had.

Cinebistro

Forbici

Forbici serves modern Italian food and one of their specialty dishes is the Impossible Meatballs made from plants. I have personally tried this and you can’t even tell it’s a vegetarian appetizer. It’s also very filling.

Impossible Meatballs at Forbici

Meat Market

This is a very popular restaurant in Tampa; especially for dinner. We tried their lunch menu, but in our experience, their food was very bland. The drinks were tasty, but other than that, we don’t know what the hype is about.

The burger looked beautiful at Meat Market, but the flavor was lacking

On Swann

This is another restaurant we like to meet up with our friends because they have a gorgeous interior, open concept kitchen, great service, and delicious food.

Love the ambiance at On Swann

And there’s more: Buddy Brew Coffee, Clean Juice, Goody Goody, Irish 31, Sorrento Sweets, Sprinkles, The Hyppo, Wine Exchange

FUN MURALS

If you want to get some cute Instagram photos, Hyde Park Village has some of the best murals in Tampa. They seem to change it up every year or so and we especially adore the rainbow mural located next to Sprinkles.

EVENTS

Hyde Park Village is filled with fun events for all ages all-year round including free outdoor group workout classes, live music, trivia night, and more. Some stores also have their own workshops like Leafy Luv Affair where you can learn how to make plant decorations.

PARKING

There is plenty of parking at Hyde Park Village. We usually park in one of their complimentary garages either at Swann Avenue and S. Rome Avenue, across from CinéBistro or at Oregon Avenue and W. Swann Avenue. There’s also another parking garage located at Rome Avenue and Snow Avenue, across from Forbici.

Limited street parking is also available for $1.50 per hour, Monday – Sunday, 8am – 8pm.

We have never valeted at Hyde Park Village, but they offer it for $5 at Buddy Brew Coffee in the evenings from 5pm on Saturdays and Sundays and from 6pm Monday through Friday.
