This is our third visit to London and each time we fall even more in love with this beautiful city. Last time we visited in July, but this year we made the trip in the beginning of November. The temperatures were in the low fifties during the day and forties at night.

We were there for three days and it was cloudy the entire time we were there. We got a glimpse of the sun for like five minutes one morning but that was it.

Here is what we wore and packed for our days spent London.

Day 1 Outfit

On our first day, we grabbed breakfast near our hotel and then hopped on the tube to check out Churchill War Rooms. We were going to do a ton of walking both outdoors and indoors, so wearing something comfy was a must.

Anthropologie Pilcro Utility Capelet

Crystal’s first outfit had a lot of pieces from Anthropologie and had a cool relaxed casual vibe to it. She layered her tops and wore Marcella’s Ysabel top and  Porridge wide-sleeve graphic numbers sweater. The Porridge chunky sweater has a fun youthful silhouette that Crystal really liked. On bottom she paired her tops with Anthroplogie’s Tilda maxi slip skirt. The skirt looks like it’s made of silk (it’s made from viscose), and has a chic French-inspired look to it that drapes beautifully.

Since it was chilly, one more piece of layer was needed to complete the look. Crystal wore her new Pilcro Utility Capelet which made the look so easy and cool. It features a shorter sleeve for warmer days and an oversized puffer silhouette that kept her cozy when it was brisk outside. To accessorize the look, she wore her new beanie that tied the look all together.

For shoes she threw on her comfy and stylish Carnegie boots from Marcella. These chunky platform boots are made from 100% Italian leather and pays homage to the classic Chelsea boots. They also feature a side zipper which makes them easy to put on and off.

My first outfit had a ton of accessories since I wasn’t quite prepared for the chilly weather. I wore my new super high-rise jeans from Artizia, which had a very comfortable stretch to them. This hint of stretch is definitely a must for me for all-day wearability.

On top, I wore a simple short sleeve top from H&M and then over that I wore my favorite cropped cardigan from Quince. This cardigan has been a staple in my wardrobe and pretty much accompanies me on all my travels. It has such a flattering cropped design and doesn’t have the scratchiness of some other wools.

Over my tops, I threw on my oversized Kaia blazer from Anine Bing. This blazer is pretty heavy, so it’s more like a coat to me than a blazer and I purchased it a few seasons ago. Although it’s no longer sold on Anine Bing’s website, you could try to find it secondhand. For similar blazer styles, Anthropologie has a great selection of blazers and coats.

Fisherman cap

To tie the entire look together, I wore a ton of winter accessories to keep me warm. I wore fingerless/texting gloves, a fisherman cap from American Hat Makers, and a lightweight scarf. I initially didn’t have plans to wear a scarf, but my neck was a little chilly being bare from my low cut tops. Luckily, I had a scarf in my suitcase from our previous trip to Japan

I had plans to wear my Sam Edelman Michaela Mary Jane flats, but I felt that my feet would be too cold, so I ended up wearing my Adidas Samba instead. Thanks to its versatility, they can be worn with pretty much anything.

Day 2 Outfit

Day two was another day filled with a lot of walking and the first thing on our itinerary was visiting the historic Kensington Palace.

I wore a different coat for this day and picked out my mid length coat from Mango. I purchased this coat a few years back, but if you check out Mango, they always have a great selection of jackets at affordable prices. Underneath my coat, I wore a wool blend sweater from Mint Velvet.

Mint velvet Wool Blend Sweater

I actually purchased this sweater the night before when we were shopping around our hotel. Even though it’s  a sleeveless top, it wasn’t an issue for me since I had my long fingerless/texting gloves that covered my arms. To add some extra warmth, I wore my Uniqlo heattech shirt underneath. I absolutely love the neutral tones of this sweater and am so glad I made the purchase on a whim.

Banana Republic Flared Jeans

Madewell Tote Bag

I paired the sweater with a pair of relaxed flared denim from Banana Republic. I don’t think I’ve ever purchased anything from this brand, but this pair of jeans on the storefront mannequin caught my eye. The fabric is surprisingly soft for denim and has a bit of stretch to them for comfort.

Sheec Socks

Mint Velvet Sweater

I wore my favorite Sam Edelman Michaela Mary Jane flats with my jeans and put on a pair of Sheec socks. These socks are perfect for low cut shoes like loafers and Mary Janes. They are thoughtfully designed so that they won’t slip off and although I was skeptical at first, I can say with confidence that they won’t slip off. I wore them all around London and never once had to bend down and readjust my socks.

Anthropologie Knit plaid coat

Crystal wore a pair of corduroy wide leg cropped pants from Quince which were perfect to wear with her Marcella Boots. I love when pants are cropped just enough to show off your boots.  The pants are high waisted, have a bit of stretch, and has multiple pockets.

Corduroy Pants

On top, Crystal wore Marcella’s Ysabel top (she wore this the day prior under her sweater), which is a mock neck top with a figure-hugging high-stretch material. The mesh sleeve is eye-catching and not your average black long sleeve shirt.

Crystal layered the Ysabel top with her new knit plaid coat from Anthropologie. Plaid is such a popular timeless pattern because it's classy and versatile. This plaid coat is pretty light and was more like a heavy sweater rather than a coat.

Photoshoot Outfit

We like to squeeze in a mini photoshoot on our trips (via Airbnb Experience) since it’s difficult to capture photos of us together.

I changed my outfit for this shoot and wore my high waisted Damon trousers from Sezane and my new Mint Velvet sweater. I absolutely love the Damon trousers and even own a pair of them in black. The fabric has a hint of stretch and wool, so they are perfect for cooler temperatures. Although the fabric is quite thick, it’s surprisingly a tad see through.

To conceal my undergarments, I wore a very thin pair of shorts from Uniqlo. I bought these shorts in Japan and it’s not currently sold in the US; however, a similar pair would be from a brand called Thigh Society. I own a pair of their black shorts and they are perfect for layering under see through bottoms.

Itinerary Boots

I wore my Mango jacket and for footwear I wore my Seychelles Itinerary boots. These boots have a chunky heel, so I can walk around in them for quite a while (2.5 hours) before my feet start to hurt. I also wore this outfit when we went out to dinner on our first night in London.

Travel Outfit

To help keep our packing to a minimum, we both tried to wear pieces we were also going to wear during our time in London.

Virgin Atlantic Economy Delight Cabin

Crystal wore her Pilcro Utility Capelet and Carnegie boots. For bottoms, she wore a high rise legging from Zara which has a comfy elastic waistband, which is perfect for longhaul flights

She wore a comfortable, 100% cotton Paris T-shirt from Mint Velvet underneath her cozy anime sweatshirt. She especially loves wearing her anime sweatshirt that features Chainsaw Man during her travels because, more often than not, it tends to strike up a lively conversation with fellow anime enthusiasts she encounters along the way.

Quince Cashmere Pants

Quince Cashmere Sweatshirt

Zara Leggings

Mint Velvet T-Shirt

The majority of my travel outfit was from Quince. I love their affordable cashmere styles and wore the straight leg cashmere pants and shrunken cashmere sweatshirt. On top, I wore my Anine Bing blazer and for shoes I wore my Adidas Sambas.

Accessories

We both chose to take our Madewell zip-top medium transport tote bag. This bag is not only made from durable leather that ages well, but it’s spacious enough to hold all of our essentials. Our favorite feature is the zip closure, which keeps our contents secure. It’s not often that we find a tote bag with a zipper.

Madewell Tote Bag

Bandolier Phone Strap

We also can’t go anywhere without our Bandolier straps. This handy tech accessory helps keep our hands free and our phone within easy reach at all times. This is the one accessory that we have taken on all of our trips for the past six years.

Airpod necklaces

Uncommon James

Cabeau Evolution

Ear threader earrings

To complete our look, we wore a variety of jewelry pieces. Our favorite jewelry brands right now are Quince, Gorjana, Uncommon James, J&Co, and Missoma. All of these brands craft affordable everyday luxury jewelry. We love Gorjana’s collection of necklaces and Crystal especially loves her ear cuff from Quince and Missoma. J&Co has fantastic ear threader earrings and Uncommon James always has styles that are on-trend.

Cabeau Evolution neck pillow

For our travel accessories, we both carried our trusted Cabeau Evolution neck pillows and convenient Airpod necklaces. The Cabeau pillow is the only travel pillow that consistently helps us sleep comfortably on long-haul flights and the Airpod necklaces keep our Airpods secure and in place.
