We like to pick Airbnb rentals that show a lot of character and we've stayed at some pretty cool looking places. Iceland and Denver homes had unique decor, bold colors and nice views of the city.

There are a lot of hotels now that are pet-friendly, but their pet fees are super expensive and/or you have to stay in the room with them at all times. If you're on vacation, you don't want to stay in the room all day, so staying at an airbnb home gives you more freedom and comfort vacationing with your dog.
