We love good coffee and when it’s in a beautiful space, even better. We found the gorgeous Better Buzz Coffee in San Diego, California and it is one of the most stunning coffee shops we have seen to date.

Better Buzz Coffee has several locations in California and we stopped by the newest location in Hillcrest, which is one of the more diverse, vibrant, and urban neighborhoods of San Diego. Better Buzz Coffee fits right into this trendy neighborhood and their building is humungous for a coffee shop. The interior is decorated with fun showbiz type lights with words like “Buzz” and “Morning Drug” and every corner of the space is visually stunning.

There are 3 levels to the building and it's an impressive 7,500 square-feet. The first level is where you order your coffee and there are plenty of seating areas by the large windows and long communal tables in the middle as well.

The second level is another seating area and this section seemed like it was where all the regulars go to set up their laptop and start working with their coffee. The third level has offices and a mini training bar where they plan to hold various types of coffee classes to the public. That sounds pretty exciting and we'd love to partake in those classes when they start offering them.

We ordered the Rose Water Latte, Black Tea with Lavender, Matcha Scone and a Chocolate Orange Scone. The cashier was very friendly and patient with us as we had many questions about all their delicious looking pastries and interesting choices of coffee.

This was my first time ordering a Rose Water Latte, so I didn’t know what to expect but I wanted to try something new besides my typical cappuccino I always order. I’m so glad I ordered this because I absolutely loved this latte. First of all, the presentation was so pretty with the lavender petals on top of the latte art. Definitely Instagram worthy and I took quite some time taking pictures of this beautiful creation. The coffee was just as delicious as it looked and had a hint of that flower fragrance. Definitely a girly drink and something I can get used to. I declare rose water lattes as my favorite drinks from now on.

The pastries were just as delicious and the scones were baked at the right consistency. Not too dry but not too soft with the right amount of flavor. I pretty much love anything matcha, so I loved the frosting on top. The next time I come to this coffee shop, I’m ordering something from their kitchen like the 3 Seed Avocado or Hippie Acai Bowl as we saw several customers with these dishes and it looked so colorful and appetizing.

The entire time we were there, the lines were non-stop but not to worry as the baristas move at lightening speed. We were so impressed at how well organized and fast the baristas were crafting the drinks. Parking can be a little tricky but we were able to find a great spot just around the corner in the charming neighborhood. Better Buzz Coffee has a total of nine locations and after viewing their website, it looks like each one of them has its own unique charm.
