Perfect Itinerary for a Girls' Weekend in Oceanside, California

I recently made a quick trip to Oceanside, CA, and had such an amazing time that I immediately started planning a weekend trip with my girlfriends. O'Side is a laid-back beach town with an emerging culinary scene that's perfect for a weekend getaway. To take all the stress out of the planning, I put together the ultimate weekend itinerary.

Friday

1. Check-in at SpringHill Suites

This beachfront property has amazing views and is centrally located to everything in this itinerary. The staff are friendly and every stay comes with free breakfast.

2. Wine Tasting at Beach House Winery

After you check into your room, call an Uber and start off with a wine tasting at Beach House Winery. It's a family owned business and their rooftop has an amazing panoramic view of Oceanside. 

3. Dinner at 608

Head back to your hotel to freshen up for dinner. No need for an Uber, since this restaurant is just a few blocks up from the hotel. Chef Willy is making quite the name for himself in O'Side and recently won the Culinary Fight Club at the Travel & Adventure Show.

4. Cocktails at 101 Proof Speakeasy

Make sure to make reservations in advance for this one-of-a-kind Speakeasy experience. The drinks are visually stunning and their small bites are mouthwatering. Don't forget to read the "House Rules" before you enter this former bank vault turned speakeasy.

Saturday

1. Walk to Oceanside Beach

If you didn't get too crazy the night before, grab some breakfast and walk down to the beach or Oceanside Pier. 

2. Top Gun House

When you are walking to the beach, this Top Gun House is right in front of the SpringHill Suites hotel (corner of Pacific and Seagaze St). You won't miss it! Although it is gated, it's a cool site to stop by if you are a fan of Top Gun or historical buildings. This house was built in 1887 and is currently being maintained by the Oceanside Historical Society.

3. Lunch at Miller's Table or LTH & Kitchen

You'll need to discuss with your girlfriends which one to go to, but both restaurants are unique in it's own way. Can't decide? Read more about the two restaurants here. 

4. Surf Museum

This museum is walking distance from SpringHill Suites and it's a fun little museum to stop by. The fee is $5 and you can even get a cool photo outside with the waves.

5. "Farm to Table" Dinner at Cyclops Farms 

You will have to make reservations for this since it's a one-of-a-kind dinner that is only held once a month. Follow their Facebook page and keep an eye out for the next dinner.

Sunday

 1. Coffee at Succulent Cafe

Before you head home, walk over to Succulent Cafe and enjoy your last day with your girlfriends in this beautiful succulent oasis.
