We were looking for a place to have a nice, quiet mid-afternoon drink and came across You & Yours Distilling Co.'s Instagram feed. We were immediately drawn by the bright and airy ambiance and were happy to see a bar that didn't have that dimly lit atmosphere. Usually, we take a look at Yelp or Google reviews, but we took one look at their drink menu online and away we were in an Uber.

You & Yours Distilling Co. is located on the east side of downtown San Diego which is a fairly quiet part of the neighborhood compared to Gaslamp and Little Italy. Y&Y is San Diego's first urban distillery and as soon as we walked in, we were blown away by the decor. It was a stunning, mod space with multiple comfy lounge areas. Needless to say, the space was very insta-worthy.

You & Yours Gorgeous Bar. We couldn't help but notice that one chair was a different color and really wanted to know why.

We were excited to try their fun and creative drinks but also wanted to taste their in-house gin and vodka. We ordered from the Winter Menu and had to try their Flagship Flight, which consisted of three tastings: Y&Y Vodka, Sunday Flagship Gin, and Sunday Winter Gin. The flight is a very reasonable $10 and if you want to take a bottle home, a $10 discount would be applied to your bottle purchase. How cool is that?

Gorgeous Lounge Area. Whenever Crystal puts on these sunglasses, her face gets so serious. I Call it the "Officer Crystal" look.

We especially loved the creative drink names and the flavors did not disappoint. When we ordered The Little Bunny Foo Foo, we couldn't get enough of the baby carrot garnish. It's the little details that takes the experience to another level. The attention to detail in all their drinks are top notch.

We also ordered the Side Salad and we really enjoyed watching our bartender, Jenna, make our drink. The finishing touches of this classy cocktail had droplets of herb-infused olive oil that added that extra layer of depth. We actually couldn't taste the alcohol in the Side Salad as the in-house vodka was very smooth. It really did taste like we were drinking a healthy glass of green juice.

The entire experience at You and Yours Distilling Co. was such a great way to spend our Sunday afternoon. We went on a whim based off of Instagram photos and it was just what we were looking for: great location, awesome atmosphere, amazing decor, friendly staff, and delicious drinks!
