We decided to try again this year in August and luckily, we were able to score a room with 2 queen beds and a patio. We were especially excited to stay here because we were bringing our fur babies, Zooey and Kuma, with us to spend the weekend in Santa Barbara.

Mixed reviews always make us a little nervous, but the other hotel brands we were more familiar with were completely booked. Since we were traveling with our pups, our choices were limited, so the Sierra Nevada Resort was our next best option for a pet-friendly accommodation in Mammoth Lakes.

Yosemite tends to get all the fame, which we completely understand why, but if you are already in the region, we think Mammoth Lakes is worth a visit; especially if you like to travel with your dogs.
