The Top 10 Best Pet-Friendly Hotels Along I-10 For Every Budget

I’ve taken several cross-country road trips from Florida to California and stayed at many hotels along the way. Kuma, my corgi, travels with me on all of my road trips, so I try to find the best pet-friendly hotels along the way on I-10 (Interstate 10). Here is the list of pet-friendly hotels I stayed at along I-10 that I enjoyed and recommend.
This list goes in order from the west coast to the east coast.
1. Hotel McCoy - Tucson, Arizona ($)

This is the cutest pet-friendly hotel with fun vibes. Hotel McCoy is a mid-century modern art hotel that focuses on local culture and affordability, offering fellow wanderers vintage personality, lively amenities and great deals.
The customer service was wonderful here and I really loved my colorful room and all the wall art by local artists around the hotel. They have a dedicated pet relief area with rock pebbles and some fake grass along with a dog waste station.

2. DoubleTree Tucson Airport - Tucson, Arizona ($$)

The pet-friendly rooms at DoubleTree Tucson Airport are very spacious with a living room and bedroom. The decor is a little outdated, but everything worked well and the bed was very comfortable.
There wasn’t much of a pet relief area, so I used the courtyard’s grass to walk Kuma (I’m guessing that was alright). No pet amenities are provided, so make sure you bring your pet’s bowls, beds, etc.

3. Kimpton Hotel Palomar Phoenix ($$$)

This is probably the most fancy hotel I stayed at with Kuma and the most expensive, but I like to splurge on a nice hotel every once in awhile.
Kimpton Hotel Palomar Phoenix is located right in the heart of downtown Phoenix and it’s a gorgeous pet-friendly hotel with hip, modern decor. The hotel will provide pet bowls and pet beds and have it delivered to your room.
The best part is there is NO PET FEE. Plus, your furry friend can hang out with you at the bar on the lovely terrace overlooking the city.

4. La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Fort Stockton Northeast - Fort Stockton, Texas ($)

This La Quinta Inn in Fort Stockton, Texas newly opened in 2020 and it was a very nice hotel; especially for the great price. The room was clean, the service was friendly, and you get a nice complimentary breakfast.
There is a fenced-in dog run area in front of the hotel along with a dog waste station. Make sure you sign up to be a Wyndham Rewards member so you can get a nice gift bag of bottled water and snacks.

5. Best Western Plus Fort Stockton - Fort Stockton, Texas ($)

Best Western Plus Fort Stockton was the most budget-friendly hotel along I-10 I stayed at with excellent reviews. It cost less than $100 per night to stay here and that was including the pet fee. Plus, they served free breakfast and free dinner!
I didn’t have time to try their breakfast, but their homemade dinner was actually pretty good. They are also very pet-friendly and provide some pet necessities including a bowl, puppy pads and treats.
On top of that, they have a fenced-in dog run area next door with grass, which was really nice for Kuma who prefers grass over dirt and rocks.

6. Drury Inn and Suites San Antonio Near La Cantera - San Antonio, Texas ($$)

This Drury Inn hotel was a pleasant surprise. It was a lot nicer than the Drury Inn in Baton Rouge I stayed at and it felt like a bit of an upgrade. The room was very spacious and Kuma loved running back and forth on the carpet.
They have a free parking garage that connects directly to the floors of the guest rooms which was very convenient. You’ll also get free breakfast, free dinner snacks and THREE complimentary drinks including soft drinks, cocktails, beer and wine.
Applebee’s is located right next to the hotel and there are many shops and restaurants nearby. There is a dedicated pet relief area and a dog waste station located near the parking garage.

7. Home2 Suites Houston Energy Corridor - Houston, Texas ($$)

Out of all the hotels I stayed at along I-10, Home2 Suites charges the most for pet fees at $75 per night. With that being said, the hotel price was pretty fair and they provide a very spacious and comfortable room with plenty of in-room amenities.
The kitchenette was convenient as it included a medium refrigerator, a microwave, sink, dishes, silverware and even a dishwasher. There is plenty of grass around the hotel for dogs to relieve themselves.
They do not provide any amenities for the pets, so make sure you bring your own pet bowls, pet bed, etc.

8. Book Nook Inn Bed & Breakfast - Lumberton, Texas ($)
3-STAR HOTEL
PET FEE $15
If you want a unique accommodation, Book Nook Inn is the place to go. Located in Lumberton, Texas, just 15 minutes north of Beaumont. I rarely stay at bed and breakfasts, but thought it would be a unique experience on my road trip.
The owners are very nice and have a cute labradoodle of their own plus two cats, so they understand how important pets are to their guests. Kuma was welcomed with lots of attention and treats.
There are 5 guest rooms here and I stayed in the Lyndsey Room with a private bathroom, king bed, dining table, refrigerator and microwave. The house is lovely with three floors of entertainment including books, games and movies.

9. Drury Inn & Suites Baton Rouge - Baton Rouge, Louisiana ($$)

This was the first Drury Inn hotel I stayed at and I was pleasantly surprised with all they offered. Their pet fee is only $35 and the hotel cost was very affordable.
Drury Inn & Suites Baton Rouge is near numerous restaurants and shops with a gas station and Jimmy John’s right next door; literally steps away.
The room was spacious and they provide free breakfast, free dinner snacks and THREE complimentary drinks including soft drinks, cocktails, beer and wine.
They do not provide any pet amenities, so make sure to bring your own pet bowls and beds. There was plenty of grass nearby to take Kuma for a walk.

10. The Admiral Hotel Mobile - Mobile, Alabama ($$$)

The Admiral Hotel Mobile is a historic hotel that is part of Hilton’s Curio Collection located in the heart of Mobile, Alabama’s historic business, entertainment, and cultural district.
This was a fantastic hotel with many restaurants and lovely parks nearby all within walking distance.
